Allman Betts Band with Special Guest JD Simo

Individually, they’re Devon Allman and Duane Betts, two solo artists and modern-day guitar heroes who’ve both spent years creating their own version of American roots music. Together, they’re the leaders of The Allman Betts Band, a supergroup anchored by sharp songwriting, fiery fretwork, and an historic legacy. Inspired by the classic sounds of the group’s family tree, The Allman Betts Band makes timeless rock & roll for the modern world, blurring the boundaries between blues, Americana, and southern soul. Over the course of two critically-acclaimed studio albums, hundreds of live shows, and annual performances of the Allman Betts Family Revival, The Allman Betts Band has established its own legacy of music and brotherhood. Devon and Duane first met as children in 1989, when their fathers — keyboardist Gregg Allman and guitarist Dickey Betts, both co-founders of The Allman Brothers Band — brought their boys on tour for the group’s 20th anniversary tour. “When you grow up on tour like that, it connects you at a young age,” Duane says. “From that point on, we knew we were family. Even though we never lived in the same city, we always had that bond.” There’s a rich lineage to The Allman Betts Band, whose two leaders are carrying the musical torch once held by their fathers.  JD Simo… The Chicago-born, now Nashville transplant is like a one-man crusade dedicated to keeping music real, raw, and honest. No matter the setting and no matter his role (whether it’s wingman or bandleader) J.D.’s presence infuses the situation of the moment with the music that’s been fueling him pretty much his whole life, spiced with influences that straddle both decades and dimensions. As a songwriter, guitarist, and producer he has worked with the likes of Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Luther Dickinson, Dave Cobb, Blackberry Smoke, and even been a member of Grateful Dead founder Phil Lesh’ “Phil & Friends”.

Sebastian Bach of Skid Row with special guest Classless Act

With an inimitable presence as loud as his instantly identifiable voice, SEBASTIAN BACH has left a San Andreas Fault-size imprint on music, theater, film, television, and culture. Moreover, his influence only continues to magnify. He has penned and voiced some of the most iconic anthems in rock history, crafting a catalog highlighted by generational hits such as “18 and Life,” “I Remember You,” “Youth Gone Wild,” “Slave To The Grind,” “Wasted Time,” and “Monkey Business,” to name a few. He has made history as “the first heavy metal singer on Broadway” with a now legendary turn in Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical in addition to leading roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Jesus Christ Superstar. He has appeared in dozens of television series and films, ranging from “Trailer Park Boys” and “Robot Chicken” to “Spongebob Squarepants,” “The Masked Singer,” and “Hell’s Kitchen.” Speaking to his versatility, he’s the rare force of nature who can duet with Axl Rose and reprise a seven-season recurring role on “Gilmore Girls.” Most recently, SEBASTIAN released a powerful new single, “What Do I Got To Lose?” on December 7. The new track comes on the hells of BACH’s show-stopping appearances as “Tiki” on Fox’s “The Masked Singer,” which earned him a spot as a Group B Finalist in December 2023. It’s not often that a band comes around like Classless Act who have tempted a new generation of fans and given rock’s faithful a reason to keep believing. Influenced by Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Bowie, the L.A.-based five-piece bring a fresh, young take on a golden age of music. The band, featuring Derek Day (vocals), Dane Pieper (guitar), Griffin Tucker (guitar), Franco Gravante (bass), and Chuck McKissock (drums), first formed in 2018 when the five former strangers met through friends via social media. Their chemistry quickly came to light, the members fusing together anthemic rhythms, shreddy guitars, soaring vocals and clever arrangements that, as one writer astutely said, have “…enough energy to power a city.” With personal invites to appear on summer 2022’s highest grossing tour, The Stadium Tour, as well as the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert and Aftershock Festival, Classless Act are giving the industry whiplash with the constant head turning and are poised to become a next-generation defining act.

Welcome Back My Friends: The Return of Emerson Lake & Palmer

Sole surviving member Carl Palmer, in association with the Estates of his bandmates Keith Emerson & Greg Lake, has announced the much anticipated  WELCOME BACK MY FRIENDS- THE RETURN OF EMERSON LAKE &  PALMER Tour.  The tour will actually reunite ELP LIVE ON STAGE through modern technology. After exploring the idea of a Hologram tour in detail, Palmer (with the Estates of Emerson and Lake) opted for what they felt was a more honest approach using live footage of Keith and Greg on massive video walls alongside Carl (and his band) playing LIVE on stage. The voice and instrumentation of Greg Lake and the unmistakable keyboard mastery of Keith Emerson will be mixed with Palmer’s onstage live drumming to magically reunite ELP once again. Paul McCartney’s duet with John Lennon at the end of his recent Got Back tour is a good idea of what ELP fans can expect from this show.

ASIA with very special guests Curved Air, Focus and Martin Turner (formerly of Wishbone Ash)

2024 is the Year Of The Dragon…Asia 2024 is Geoffrey Downes, Virgil Donati, John Mitchell and Harry Whitley. In the Summer of 2023, Geoff Downes spear-headed a memorial concert to remember and celebrate the life of his late, much-loved friend and Asia co-founder member, the great John Wetton.  At the concert, he invited rock n roll veteran John Mitchell – who had played with both Wetton and Downes in Icon and in Wetton’s own band – to join him on stage, taking on lead guitar duties.  The duo were joined by new-comer Harry Whitley, who Downes had discovered and whose vocal talents so closely resembled that of Wetton’s it was nothing short of spine-tingling.  Together they played a number of Asia’s chart-topping hits.  The reception was uproarious and It became clear that something magical was happening.  Perhaps, thought Downes, it was time to bring the songs of Asia to a whole new audience? The dragon began to stir once more. In 1982 John Wetton, Geoff Downes, Carl Palmer and Steve Howe became the founding fathers of super group Asia, responsible for a string of multi-million selling albums and chart topping hits across the globe. Asia’s self-titled1982 debut album was the biggest selling album in the world. The band dominated the airwaves and for many “Heat Of The Moment”, “Only Time Will Tell” and “Sole Survivor”, amongst others, were the soundtrack to their youth. Another multi-million seller, “Alpha” followed in 1983 and in 1986 “Astra” competed the trio of MTV era hits.  Greg Lake briefly joined the band for a Japanese tour where Asia’s show from the fabled Budokan was the first inter-continental simulcast.  In 2006, the founder members reformed and released several new albums before John Wetton’s untimely passing in 2017.  Since John’s passing, Geoff and Carl have toured with Sam Coulson, Billy Sherwood, Ron Bumblefoot Thal and Steve Howe guesting, and had a tour planned with Marc Bonilla on vocal duties that did not materialize due to Covid. Busy touring the globe, the great Carl Palmer is immersed in a project very dear to his heart, the Return Of Emerson Lake & Palmer.  The legendary Steve Howe remains at the helm of progressive rock legends, Yes.   So it was that Geoff made the decision to take a fresh, new-look Asia back out on the road, recruiting Mitchell and Whitley as new members and bringing in the drumming excellence of the incomparable Virgil Donati, who had played with Wetton in UK. Asia has entertained and delighted a multitude of audiences and millions of people over the last 40 years.  Some of the world’s greatest musicians have taken up the Asia baton during that time.  However Geoff Downes believes that the time is right to bring a fresh, new-look Asia out into the light. The Year of the Dragon foretells good fortune, abundance and prosperity.  The Dragon blessed 1982, the year Asia was first unleashed into the world – and here we are again.  The journey has come full-circle.  Time for the dragon to take flight once more.

10CC

Among the most inventive and influential bands in the history of popular music, 10cc are one of the very few acts to have achieved commercial, critical and creative success in equal measure. 10cc has sold more than 30 million albums around the world and the band’s longevity is testament to their timeless songs. Founder member Gouldman attributes 10cc’s lasting appeal to the quality and individuality of the band’s songs. “They don’t seem to date; they are original, we never followed any trend we simple wrote for our own pleasure. The fact that the songs are being played as often on the radio today as they ever were shows how true that is,” he says.  10cc ruled the pop world at a time – the 1970s – when the charts were dominated by some of the most creative and colorful artists in pop history.  Unlike David Bowie, Queen, Elton John or Rod Stewart – all of whom they stood shoulder-to-shoulder with for a decade – 10cc’s energies were not centered on image or celebrity-status, but on creating highly sophisticated rock masterworks with mainstream appeal. Notable hits include “Donna”, “I’m Not In Love”, “Neanderthal Man”, “Art For Art’s Sake”, “Things We Do For Love”, and so many more!

Kenny Wayne Shepherd: Dirt on my Diamonds Tour

Fresh off the release of his latest studio album, ‘Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 1,’ the five-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd has announced additional dates to his current nationwide tour. The new schedule includes a special free festival appearance at the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, WI, on July 25, followed by performances at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, IA, on July 26, Brown County PAC in Nashville, IN, on July 27, the Scottish Rite Auditorium in Collingswood, NJ, on August 7, and the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, NH, on August 8, with the latter featuring support from blues legend Jimmie Vaughan. These dates promise to deliver the high-energy, deeply emotional performances that fans have come to expect from Shepherd, showcasing his unparalleled guitar skills and his unique blend of blues and rock. The announcement comes on the heels of Shepherd’s latest studio achievement, ‘Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 1,’ a career highlight that has quickly captured the attention of blues enthusiasts and critics alike. Available now for purchase and on all digital platforms, the album is a sonic exploration that sees Shepherd venturing beyond the traditional confines of blues. This latest work features a compelling mix of tracks that delve into life’s complexities, weaving tales of loss, love, and redemption against a backdrop of intricate guitar work and soul-stirring vocals. Written at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, ‘Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 1’ represents a pivotal moment in Shepherd’s career. The album blends modern urban influences with the traditional undercurrents of blues, a testament to Shepherd’s creative evolution and his commitment to pushing the genre’s boundaries. From the gritty title track “Dirt On My Diamonds” to the reflective “Sweet & Low” and the empowering “Best of Times,” each song offers a fresh perspective on blues music, infused with Shepherd’s signature sound. Reflecting on the album, Shepherd has expressed that ‘Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 1’ is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a narrative of personal growth and artistic exploration. “Every record I make is a moment in time, and this is a really special moment,” says Shepherd. The album’s creation was a collaborative effort, marked by days of non-stop writing with his favorite co-writers, where “nothing was off-limits.” This approach allowed for a richly diverse album that, while exploring socio-political narratives, maintains the core essence of blues. Shepherd aimed to craft an album that uplifts rather than dwells in darkness, a goal that resonates throughout the tracks. With ‘Dirt On My Diamonds, Vol. 1,’ Kenny Wayne Shepherd continues to redefine the blues genre, offering listeners a deep, introspective look into life’s imperfections through his music.

The Bacon Brothers Freestanding Tour

The Bacon Brothers have spent the better part of three decades exploring their own mix of folk, rock, soul, and country music. They call that diverse sound “forosoco,” and it’s taken them around the world, from headlining gigs in Japan to American performances at iconic venues like Carnegie Hall, the Grand Ole Opry and Gruene Hall. The exploration continues with the band’s twelfth release, Ballad Of The Brothers. It’s a record that highlights not only the similarities between Kevin Bacon (known worldwide as an A-list Hollywood actor) and Michael Bacon (celebrated as an Emmy-winning composer), but the differences, too. The two siblings may be bound together by blood and a mutual love of American roots music, but they’ve grown into sharp songwriters and cinematic storytellers with their own distinct approaches. Ballad Of The Brothers makes room for both of those approaches, offering a mix of edgy alt-rock (“Take Off This Tattoo”), Motown-inspired soul (“Put Your Hand Up”), fingerpicked folk (“Let That Be Enough”), and everything in between. The album also marks the continuation of a musical partnership that began long ago in Philadelphia, where the Bacons were raised on a soundtrack of 1970s singer/songwriters, Philly soul bands, and classic rock acts. Multiple decades and countless shows later, they’re creating their own soundtrack, saluting their old-school influences while making music that’s undeniably modern.

Richie Kotzen // Orianthi with guest Marc Daly

Richie Kotzen, of The Winery Dogs, has always been on a clear, laser-focused mission as an artist. While he is rightfully acknowledged worldwide for being a stellar guitar player, an emotive singer, and, frankly, a balls-out dynamic live performer to boot, Kotzen is quite aware he must maintain an ever-vigilant eye on ensuring one particularly important creative arrow in his artistic quiver continues to be properly nurtured — and that is his songwriting. As a vocalist, Kotzen’s impassioned style exists at the crossroads where the likes of Paul Rodgers, Terence Trent D’Arby, and Rod Stewart meet.  With The Winery Dogs now headed back into a musical rest cycle, Kotzen is primed for what’s next. Orianthi’s first major solo artist success, as a singer-songwriter and guitarist, was with the Geffen Records release of “According To You,” which is now RIAA-Certified Platinum® and has over 29 million streams on Spotify. Her music’s ability to transcend time and remain relevant cannot be clearer than its recent resurgence on TikTok. There are over 110 million views on the “According to You” hashtag making it a viral trend that is introducing Gen Z to Orianthi for the first time in a big way. Career-long fans are used to seeing their favorite world class guitarist playing arenas with rock royalty and global superstars like Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, Carrie Underwood, Alice Cooper and more. The juxtaposition of her newly arrived online popularity and her lifelong pursuit of artistic credibility shows the transcendence of this shining star.

Average White Band

AWB are widely regarded as one of the best soul and funk bands in the history of music. Though perhaps best known for their timeless instrumental mega-hit ‘Pick Up the Pieces’ the band’s strength actually lay in their consistently accomplished song-writing. The band took the influences of their R&B heroes – people like Marvin Gaye, James Brown, Donny Hathaway and others – and developed their own ‘authentic’ sound. Notable hits include “Cut The Cake”, “Let’s Go ‘Round Again”, “Schoolboy Crush”, and “Person to Person” to name a few.   The current lineup of the band, with noted US musicians alongside founding members Alan Gorrie and Onnie McIntyre, continues to delight audiences and critics alike in its wide – ranging touring. The musical energy and trademark sound are remarkably true to the original, and with constant revisitations and re-workings of AWB’s, and others’ classics in the mix, it is no surprise that the Average White Band is now a multi – generational attraction, and a perennial fixture with so many of the top music venues. Band members are Cliff Lyons (Alto sax, keyboards, vocals), Rob Aries (Keyboard, bass), Onnie McIntrye (Guitar, vocals), Brent Carter (Lead vocals),  Alan Gorrie (Lead vocals, bass, guitar), Rocky Bryant (Drums), and Fred “Freddy V” Vigdor (Tenor Sax, keyboards, vocals).

Kings X // Vinnie Moore

After a sold-out show in 2023, King’s X is an Arcada Theatre favorite that returns with its powerful progressive metal, funk and soul with vocal arrangements influenced by gospel, blues, and British Invasion rock groups.  With a cult-following, deep-meaning lyrics and rockin-loud riffs, King’s X was ranked No. 83 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock! Notable hits include “Out of the Silent Planet”, “Lost In Germany”, “Life Going By”, and so many more!  Once Vinnie Moore picked up his first guitar at the age of 12, he became, as he describes it, a “guitar freak.” His earliest influences included – among others – Jeff Beck, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Queen. As a performer, Vinnie Moore’s resume is impressive! A member of Alice Cooper’s band, he toured the U.S. on the Operation Rock ‘N Roll tour, and also performed on Alice’s album Hey Stoopid. Vinnie’s own band has toured extensively as a headliner and also was chosen as opening act for legendary rockers Rush on the Northeast leg of their Roll The Bones Tour. Great White // Slaughter

For Great White to continue to thrive 40 years in the music business, the mantra must be, these songs are bigger than any one member. GRAMMY nominated hard rock legends, Great White, are adding onto that line with the saying: expect the unexpected. It’s rock and roll, baby. The peaks and the valleys haven’t stopped– nor has the music. Great White’s ride runs deep and its passion for the music goes beyond any depth. To experience their hits live in concert – “Rock Me,” “Mista Bone,” “Save Your Love,” “House of Broken Love,” and “Lady Red Light”—is to ride an emotional wave of sultry connections, arousing lyrics, and an all-out marathon of hard-hitting orchestrations. Audiences might also hear tracks like “Stick It”, “The Angel Song”, “Big Time” or one of the many deep cuts from Great White’s 13 studio albums. 1990 SLAUGHTER hit radio, MTV and the U.S. touring circuit like a tornado- coming seemingly out of nowhere to roll through everything in its path and turn it upside down. Touring the world with bands that they loved, Kiss, Ozzy, and others meant the good times were just a song away, and their first hit single, “Up All Night” certainly fit into that mold, their second chart-topper, “Fly To The Angels” was more representative of the spirituality and awareness that goes into most of the band’s music and lyrics. But never were SLAUGHTER more accurately represented that live onstage in front of their legions of devoted fans over the last ten years!  SLAUGHTER has shown that with perseverance and sheer talent, a band can survive and win over the support of fans, regardless of what others may say about the quality of their music. What’s most important is that their music is still here and the vast majority of critics who panned them in the past are not, and that’s as good as gold.

Zebra’s live performances often last over two hours and showcase all the classic Zebra tunes: “Who’s Behind the Door?”, “Tell Me What You Want”, “Wait Until the Summer’s Gone”, “Bears”, “One More Chance” and other all-time favorites including an occasional Led Zeppelin cover. PRE-SHOW VIP UPGRADE EXPERIENCE: Wishbone Ash

The classic rock bands of the late ’60s and early ’70s enjoy a unique place in popular musical history. The Beatles had gone their separate ways, Britain had already experienced the Blues Boom, and Psychedelia had made its impact. The creative possibilities were infinite. Wishbone Ash embarked on the nascent Progressive Rock scene in 1969, taking full advantage of a fertile musical environment where they produced a distinctive brand of melodic rock. Inspired equally by British folk traditions and American jazz and R&B, the group played to public and critical acclaim. Fifty plus years later, having pioneered the use of twin lead guitars, Wishbone Ash has gained worldwide recognition, based firmly on a regime of relentless touring. The band includes founding member Andy Powell, who handles lead vocals and trades licks with Yorkshire’s Mark Abraha, Bassist Bob Skeat, a 25-year veteran of the band, drives the rhythm section along with Joe Crabtree, one of the best of Britain’s new breed of drummers. Recording highlights are, of course, the multi-million selling 1972 album “Argus,” considered to be one of the all-time classic rock albums, together with “Pilgrimage” (1971) and “New England” (1976). More recently, “The Power of Eternity” (2007), “Elegant Stealth” (2011) and “Blue Horizon” (2014) garnered enthusiastic praise. It was not until 2019 that the album Coat of Arms was to be released and that has proved to be a real career-capper. The band’s biggest seller, the double album “Live Dates” (1973), is one of the most highly rated live albums of the 1970s.

The Chapin Family Presents: Harry Chapin’s Greatest Stories LIVE!

In the long rich history of Family Groups in American Roots Music, THE CHAPIN FAMILY has a special place. When these singers, songwriters and extraordinary live performers come together, magic happens. Tom Chapin, Steve Chapin, Jen Chapin, and The Chapin Sisters (Abigail Chapin and Lily Chapin) are all powerful musical artists who have active careers and multiple recordings, who just happen to be related, and who love making music together. Harry Chapin (1942 – 1981) was one of our most passionate, political, prolific and inspiring songwriters. Two generations of the musical Chapin Family will gather to bring the songs of Harry Chapin to life. Backed by The Harry Chapin Band (including Big John Wallace and Howard Fields), the Family will perform Harry’s classic songs, including Cat’s In The Cradle, Taxi, Mr. Tanner, Mail Order Annie, W•O•L•D, and Circle. To honor Harry’s commitment to fighting hunger, we will have a Food Drive in connection with this concert. The audience is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items, which will be donated to a local food bank. Experience iconic performances and timeless hits from Harry Chapin’s Greatest Stories LIVE. Don’t miss this unforgettable night of music!
