RESCHEDULED FOR 4/19/24: Uli Jon Roth – Interstellar Sky Guitar Tour

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR APRIL 20, 2024.  TICKETS WILL BE VALID FOR THE NEW DATE. Welcome to Starship Uli! Experience an evening of true musical passion and inspiration! Uli takes us on a 360-degree journey into his world of artistic imagination. The choice of music for INTERSTELLAR SKY GUITAR is inspired and guaranteed to create an exciting journey through Uli’s intriguing musical world. The journey crosses over from both classical and baroque master pieces- such as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Mozart, Bach and Beethoven – to new music by Uli written for his 9-string Flamenco Sky Guitar as well as excerpts from a new Sky Guitar Concerto. Uli’s signature tool of expression is the legendary Sky Guitar which he invented and on which he will perform. These stunningly designed six-octave instruments have a far greater tonal range than traditional guitars, allowing Uli to equal the range of the violin and the cello. The main star of the collection is the stunning state-of-the art Excalibur 7-string Sky Guitar and the new 9-String Flamenco Sky Guitar, for which Uli has recently written a whole series of beautiful new pieces and which he showcases for the first time on this tour.

The Gordon Lightfoot Tribute

Mike Fornes’ portrayal of Gordon Lightfoot is simply an honest effort to entertain with an accurate representation of a Lightfoot concert. Mike plays the role of “Gord” in first person yet avoids saying “I” or “me” in his storytelling of the songs and the circumstances of how they were written. His tireless research and personal interaction with Lightfoot have lead to accurate mannerisms, speaking patterns, clothing, and of course identical guitars used by the Canadian icon on stage. “If You Could Read My Mind”, ” Sundown”, “The Wreck of Edmud Fitzgerald”, and so many more hits!

Jackyl with special guest MockStar

On August 11, 1992, Jackyl released their debut album on Geffen Records. It was the middle of Grunge, but Jackyl’s loud, proud and unapologetic rock songs, produced by Brendan O’Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, AC/DC), earned the LP double-platinum status. (And helped land the band a scene-stealing spot on Woodstock ’94.) Videos for the singles “The Lumberjack” (with Jesse James Dupree performing his iconic chainsaw solo), “I Stand Alone,” “Down On Me,” “Dirty Little Mind,” “When Will It Rain” and “Back Off Brother” earned rave reviews and rabid fans for the band’s no-holds-barred energy and lyrics. On August 11, 2022—30 years to the day of Jackyl’s debut—the lineup plays Sturgis, South Dakota’s Full Throttle Saloon, in a raucous celebration of the lineup’s 30th anniversary that also marks the debut of the quartet’s brand-new album, Jackyl 30 Coming In Hot and first single, “Get All Up In It.”   MockStar IS the ultimate 80s rock experience!

The Lettermen

The dictionary defines harmony as “a combination of musical sounds considered to be pleasing”. The music world could define harmony as “The Lettermen”. Donovan Tea, Bobby Poynton and Rob Gulack, each of whom are entertainers in their own right, have kept the meaning of harmony alive with their soft, romantic, harmonic blend of music which is as popular with their fans today as it was in 1961 when The Lettermen recorded their first hit, “The Way You Look Tonight”.  Other notable hits include “When I Fall In Love”, “Come Back Silly Girl”, “Theme From A Summer Place”, “Goin’ Out Of My Head/Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You”, “Put Your Head On My Shoulder”, “Hurt So Bad”, “Shangri-La”, and more! Much of the world first heard Matteo’s mellifluous vocals and textured piano playing on 2018’s “Fall on Me,” the English/Italian duet he co-wrote for Andrea Bocelli’s chart-topping Sì album. The BoDeans with special guest Turn Turn Turn

Long known as one of the best live acts in the business, The BoDeans continue to tour year round and continue to deliver amazing, high-energy performances. Chart topping songs like “Fadeaway”, “Only Love”, and “Dreams” won them Rolling Stone‘s readers poll for Best New American Band in 1987, and they were part of a small contingent of bands that inspired a new radio format known as Adult Alternative Album Rock. Their reputation for delivering a dynamic live show garnered support slots with U2/”Joshua Tree” Tour, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, George Thorogood, The Pretenders, David Bowie, and appearances at Farm Aid, Summerfest, and ACL, among others. They’ve been featured on SNL, Letterman, Today, Imus, CNN, ESPN, and many more. In the nearly 30 years that followed, the band released several albums which embody multiple more songs played heavily at radio, in TV shows, and movies, and defined a sound that a generation embraced–songs like “Good Things”, “You Don’t Get Much”, “Idaho”, “If It Makes You”, “Closer to Free”, “Stay”, “American”, and “All the World”, which was recently featured on CMT. Turn Turn Turn is a trio who bonded over their mutual love of close harmony 60s and 70s country, folk, and pop music and formed an original Americana band. To create their distinctive sound, the band “turns” to the distant past of early American recorded music, “turns” again to that renaissance of the 1960s and 1970s, and finally “turns” again to the present looking forward. Members Adam Levy (guitar, vocals), Savannah Smith (guitar, vocals) and Barb Brynstad (bass, vocals) are all mainstays of the Minnesota music scene and together craft an infectious, pop-infused Americana. Turn Turn Turn’s Laurel Canyon meets 70’s-Nashville-cosmic soul vibe is layered with three-part harmonies that stitch the band’s musical tapestry together.

He has also worked with an impressive array of names, from all walks of music, including KD Lang, Rod Stewart, Dave Lee Roth, Alice Cooper, Tina Guo and Steven Adler. To call John 5 a shredder does not do him justice. There’s little he can’t put his hand to.

An Evening with Haken

Haken is a London-based progressive rock band that started off playing relatively straightforward prog metal on early albums like 2010’s Aquarius, then expanded their approach to deliver a kaleidoscopic meld of prog metal, jazz fusion, electronic pop, and anthemic rock on 2013’s The Mountain. Haken deliberately wove new wave elements into 2016’s Affinity, their international breakout album, thanks in no small part to first single “Initiate.” 2018’s Vector was a concept album about the catatonic victim of a psychotic doctor. Two years later, Virus directly extended the narrative as COVID-19 affected the world. 2023’s Fauna expanded their already diverse musical universe even further, roping in elements of djent and dub.

Uli Jon Roth – Interstellar Sky Guitar Tour

** RESCHEDULED FROM 2020 and 2023.  TICKETS VALID AT NEW SHOW DATE.
