STUDIO 64: Old School DJ Dance Party with Frankie “Hollywood” Rodriguez

Studio 64, located on the 2nd Floor of the Arcada Theatre Complex, is bringing New York’s Studio 54 vibe to St. Charles. Join us in a lounge style setting complete with glittered walls, floor to ceiling video screens, and lots of disco balls! It’s an Old School DJ Dance Party with a live DJ. There is NO COVER to attend. Lite Bites and Cocktails are available for purchase. Doors open at 8:00PM. No RSVP needed and seating and tables are first come first served. The dance floor is, of course, OPEN!
Born in New York City and later moved to Chicago, Frankie Hollywood Rodriguez has had a legendary status with House music long before it captivated the world. Frankie is a original member of The Hot Mix 5. The Chicago house music scene exploded as the Hot Mix 5 show and WBMX 102.7fm became the #1 Radio show in Chicago, by airing a new sound called House Music. Soon the Hot Mix 5 Radio show became known all over the world as their mixes were sent across America and abroad. Today their mixes are still being sold today on the likes of eBay and other outlets. Many of the Top DJs in the world have recognized The Hot Mix 5 as their mentors, as to setting the bar of what a DJ can be. The City of Chicago recognized Frankie and the Hot Mix 5’s contribution to the creation of House music and honored them in downtown Chicago on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Balbo Drive with a street called “Hot Mix 5 Way”. Frankie moved on to WBBM FM (B96) Chicago. He started there as a mix show DJ, then hosted the night show and eventually was the first Mixer to ever move from behind the turntables to hosting a major market morning show (Market #3). During his tenure at B96 Frankie wrote and produced one of the biggest records of the year (The FHR Project – Out Of Control). The FHR Project went on to tour with the Summer MTV Music Festival, Frankie also hosted Street Mix (MTV Europe Dance Music Video Channel) From there Frankie went on to become a Program director and host of the morning show on WBCD, Z105fm in Florida. The station went from the bottom ranks in the market to number one in the rankings in 1 years’ time. Frankie returned to Chicago and worked alongside legendary DJ’s Steve Dahl, Kevin Mathews & Howard Stern at WCKG 105.9fm Chicago. As An Afternoon drive host. Since 2010 Frankie is currently known as one of the top Video Remix DJs on tour and opening for major recording artist Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Sting, Billy Joel, Foo Fighters, Zac Brown Band, Carrie Underwood, Paul McCartney, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Kid Rock, Bebe Rexha and Maddie & Tae.
Frankie is also the Host of “My House” a weekly podcast featuring the best in dance music. Frankie’s unique talent to re-produce music with video makes him one of the most sought-after Video DJs in the world and currently has over 750,000 listens and views on Mixcloud and YouTube.
