“I Am He Said” – A Neil Diamond Celebration

"We are saying what HE said,” laughs Matt Vee referring to the one and only Neil Diamond.  Matt along with cousins Jeff and Tommy Vee, local music scene veterans and sons of the legendary Bobby Vee, join forces with their family and friends as The Killer Vees to celebrate the music from a timeless catalog.  With songs like "Cracklin' Rosie," "Song Sung Blue," and "Sweet Caroline,” Neil Diamond sold over 100 million records worldwide with music that became the soundtrack to one generation after another with hits spanning five decades.  As a Tin Pan Alley song writer in the mid 60s, he penned songs recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Deep Purple and, of course, the Monkee’s classic, “I’m A Believer.”

POSTPONED: The Immediate Family

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED!  A RESCHEDULED DATE WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON! Very often a band's formation can come from what seems like a preordained convergence. Musicians meet, they may perform together in various configurations. Time goes by as each one develops their own career. But sometimes there can be a musical attraction that puts them together again, and finally, each member seems to realize at the same time: this is a band. When that happens, it becomes clear that fate has a hand in what has come together. The Immediate Family became a band --Danny Kortchmar, Waddy Wachtel, Russ Kunkel, Leland Sklar and Steve Postell-- and probably have more session and live show mileage than just about any other living players today. Each is known for its prodigious ability to be in the right place and at the right time on an endless list of best-selling and hugely influential recordings over the past 50 years.

Blood, Sweat and Tears

No one can argue BS&T invented a new style of music. Blood, Sweat & Tears is not the first band to ever use a horn section, but they are the first to fuse it with rock, jazz, and some blues thrown in for good measure. Blood Sweat & Tears has had many configurations over its 50 plus years of touring but one thing for sure is that the music is timeless, and fans are never disappointed. Blood Sweat & Tears takes young musicians and prepares them for life in the music industry. AN EVENING WITH ABBEY ROAD – ALL-STAR BEATLES ROCK BAND WITH ORCHESTRA

Abbey Road: All-Star Salute to The BEATLES is a labor of love for what are essentially six of the hardest working musicians in Chicago. Add to that their significant list of Grammy® winning and recording artist guests – as well as their added string, brass, and woodwind players to represent the Beatles' orchestral component – and you have passionate musicians that want to give back to audiences everywhere what The Beatles gave to them. To coin a phrase: “The love you take is equal to the love you make.” Abbey Road is literally ‘The Room Where It Happened’ under the tutelage of their inspired mentor Sir George Martin, who was initially as unlikely the producer of a rock group as The Beatles were a recording act. But each saw something in each other that sparked undeniable creative magic. Not only did the sacred ground of Abbey Road studios produce the most famous results in all of pop music history, the lads from Liverpool often became inspired to create song ideas right there, as they and their mentor collectively turned the recording studio into a well-tuned instrument in its own right. Abbey Road is dedicated to the faithful re-creation of The Beatles catalog with stunning note-for-note accuracy. “This Rock Band with its mini-Orchestra is incredibly authentic and will put goosebumps on your goosebumps! They are astonishing, stunning, and the real deal.”– John Vernon, Illinois Entertainer. ABBEY ROAD – The Room Where It Happened. The end result is astonishing, and most definitely, "A Splendid Time Is Guaranteed for All!" Members of Abbey Road are Steve Kikoen (Deacon Blues, Big Suit, Supernatural, Prognosis, Great Pretenders, The Deacons, Time Zone), Jay Goeppner (Backdated, Instant Karma), Frank Canino (Rosie & The Rivets, American English), Shawn Sommer (Maggie Speaks), Ben Lewis (Deacon Blues, Big Suit, Supernatural, Time Zone, Lt. Dan Band), Adrian Ruiz, and Chris "Bean" Weng (The Bad Examples). The Revolution Horns are Chuck Parrish (Ray Charles), John Bowes (Prognosis), and Rich Lapka (Deacon Blues) and The Kaleidoscope Strings are Olya Prohorova (Fugu Dugu), Dessi Nenova, Emi Tanabe (Cover Girls), Ani Moravec (Cover Girls) and Emma Lyn, with special guest appearances at selected performances by Winston O'Boogie.

Allman Betts Band with Special Guest JD Simo

Individually, they're Devon Allman and Duane Betts, two solo artists and modern-day guitar heroes who've both spent years creating their own version of American roots music. Together, they're the leaders of The Allman Betts Band, a supergroup anchored by sharp songwriting, fiery fretwork, and an historic legacy. Inspired by the classic sounds of the group's family tree, The Allman Betts Band makes timeless rock & roll for the modern world, blurring the boundaries between blues, Americana, and southern soul. Over the course of two critically-acclaimed studio albums, hundreds of live shows, and annual performances of the Allman Betts Family Revival, The Allman Betts Band has established its own legacy of music and brotherhood. Devon and Duane first met as children in 1989, when their fathers — keyboardist Gregg Allman and guitarist Dickey Betts, both co-founders of The Allman Brothers Band — brought their boys on tour for the group's 20th anniversary tour. "When you grow up on tour like that, it connects you at a young age," Duane says. "From that point on, we knew we were family. Even though we never lived in the same city, we always had that bond." There's a rich lineage to The Allman Betts Band, whose two leaders are carrying the musical torch once held by their fathers.  JD Simo... The Chicago-born, now Nashville transplant is like a one-man crusade dedicated to keeping music real, raw, and honest. No matter the setting and no matter his role (whether it’s wingman or bandleader) J.D.’s presence infuses the situation of the moment with the music that’s been fueling him pretty much his whole life, spiced with influences that straddle both decades and dimensions. As a songwriter, guitarist, and producer he has worked with the likes of Jack White, Tommy Emmanuel, Luther Dickinson, Dave Cobb, Blackberry Smoke, and even been a member of Grateful Dead founder Phil Lesh' "Phil & Friends".
